Recipe from the Watkins Products April Newsletter

Just got this one today enjoy!

Lip Smackin’ Mocha Pudding Cake

Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C. Combine first 5 ingredients in 9-inch/23-cm square baking dish; stir well to mix. Combine milk, oil and extract; stir into dry mixture. Swirl in chocolate chips. Combine brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa; sprinkle over batter.
Heat water in microwave safe container. Add mocha mix and stir until dissolved. Pour mixture over batter. Do not stir!
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake is sponge-like when touched in the center. Since this is a pudding cake, it will seem “gooey” and not appear to be completely done.
Presentation: Chill light-colored (white is best) dessert plates in the freezer. When very cold, drizzle in zigzag pattern with ice cream topping to design plate. Be sure to decorate near the edges, too. Place back in freezer.
Serving: Cake should be served warm. Place scoop of ice cream on side of dessert plate. Spoon pudding cake onto plate beside ice cream. Dust all with cinnamon. Garnish with strawberry fan and sprig of fresh mint, if desired.

1 cup/250 mL all-purpose flour
2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Baking Cocoa

newsletter tips

Since I am working on my own newsletter thought I would share this with anyone else who may be just starting out.

How To Create An Email Newsletter
 by: Cynthia Minnaar

A great way to build an email list is to publish an email newsletter and you can then sell products to your subscribers. Here are a few tips on how to create an email newsletter.

1. Maintain focus. A narrowly focused newsletter performs better than a broad themed one.

This is because it is easier to get people to subscribe to it. Also it is an excellent way to sell targeted niche products. As an example, publishing an email newsletter on putting it is likely to do better than a newsletter on golf in general.

2. Make use of a good auto-responder. It is very important that your email newsletter gets through spam filters and into a person's email inbox.

This is why you need to use a quality auto-responder. Get Response and Aweber are two of the best.

3. Always be consistent. This does not mean that you have to publish every day or even every week if you don't want to.

What is important is that you set a schedule and stick to it. If you decide on a monthly newsletter then consistently get your newsletter out every month on the same date so people get used to seeing it.

4. Include useful information. Bear in mind that email newsletters are not sales letters. You can send out solo email ads for that purpose.

When people receive useful information they will be glad they subscribe to your newsletter. Also the more unique information you can include in your newsletter the more subscribers you will get and keep.

5. Use your newsletter to sell advertising. Selling top sponsor adverts, bottom sponsor adverts, classified adverts and email solo adverts is a way you can make money. Just dont over advertise in your newsletter to the point that people can't find the quality information you provide.

6. Use it for Branding. Ensure that you get the header at the top of your newsletter. Also if you are going to include colors into your newsletter make it match the theme of your blog or website.

You will be doing a good job of branding your Internet business when people get used to seeing the same things over and over from you.

7. Publish several email newsletters. Many Internet marketers branch into multiple niches but neglect the things that were successful with when they first started.

By publishing a newsletter for every niche that you are involved in is a great way to make more money in that targeted niche. If you work at adding subscribers to every newsletter you have, you will be amazed at how much more income you can generate.

The above are a few tips on how to create an email newsletter. You will discover that an email newsletter that is published on a consistent basis, to people who choose to receive it, becomes a very valuable business asset.

tips for my fellow networkmarketers

Well it time I think to have a post about getting some traffic to you home business site enjoy!

9 Methods To Get Higher Website Conversion And Generate More MLM Leads
 by: Joe Barclay

Many people in the network marketing industry rely on working off the Internet in their local and warm market or following old school recruiting techniques like calling mlm phone leads.

Many are reluctant to use those techniques. Many have had disappointing results. Therefore, an increasing number of network marketers are looking for online ways to generate mlm leads.

The basic way to generate leads on the Internet is to put up a website or landing page, drive traffic to it, and get a percentage of visitors to opt in by filling out a form asking for their contact information. Increasing web site traffic is a major topic in itself and is covered in a separate article. The other key part of lead generation is raising the percentage of visitors who opt in when you get them to your site. This is called conversion.

These are the nine major strategies we teach our team members to get higher conversion at their website or landing page. Top results with conversion begin with proper website design. The sole purpose of the web site is to do just one thing and do it efficiently...get the maximum percentage of traffic to opt in.

Your page should be a clean layout, be fast loading, simple to read, and deliver the information the visitor is expecting to see.

Avoid links going to other pages. Avoid using flashing images and other distractions.

Like in all other advertising, you still must use compelling headlines and body copy. If you don't capture their attention, you will not get them to opt in.

Make it simple and clear what they need to do. As an example, direct them to enter their first name and email address in the box below.

Make it clear what the prospect will get for opting in. People are increasingly hesitant about giving out their personal information. Make it clear you have what they want.

Avoid asking for unnecessary information on the opt in form. The less information you request, the higher your conversion rate will usually be.

Offer a bonus to get more optins.

Maintain and display a clear No-spam policy.

Always test different versions of your website or landing page. Keep looking for what gets the highest results.

Increasing the percentage of visitors who do opt in may be more critical than driving more traffic to your website or landing page. Follow these tips to improve conversion on your website or landing page and you can generate more mlm leads.
